SUNRISE UNDERWATER COUPLE SESSION I VANUATU HONEYMOON I ADVENTURE SESSION
It’s just after 5am when Oli comes to wake me up with a gentle kiss. He has slightly lifted up shutters from our room, and I can see the first morning light coming in, a gentle greet, an invitation to go out and play. “It’s time” he says with a smile. It’s time indeed. I’m not a morning person, by far, but some things get me out of bed in no time: heading to the airport for an early flight, hiking to a waterfall, taking the paddle out for a morning surf with baby Moira, or heading to a sunrise couple underwater session at a local surf spot, like this morning. These underwater sessions are so special. They bring Oli and I, and our respective p ...

RETURNING TO THE SEA – SELF UNDERWATER PORTRAITS
Taking a couple for a portrait session underwater, to me, it’s offering them a new sense of adventure, trust and connection. It’s teaching them to touch each other intentionally, as a way to communicate. It’s teaching them to close their eyes and let go. It’s giving them a chance to experience silent interaction, to open up to an inner world of poetry. It’s cutting them from everything, even breathing. Cut them from everything, but each other. It’s making them feel the rush, the adrenaline, the pulse, together. Little things invigorate passion like salt on your skin. Little things free us from all our social restraint like gravitating freely ...

Dream intimate beach wedding on Erakor Island | Carlos and Jordana | Cross cultural destination wedding | Vanuatu wedding photographer
Erakor island resort is nestled in crystal clear waters just offshore from Port Vila, Efate. A mere 20 minutes drive from Bauerfield International Airport and 10 minutes drive from down town, plus of course the 5 minutes ferry ride across, Erakor Island Resort sums up the laid back vibe that Vanuatu and its people are well known for. Bungalows are spread along the beach, with honeymoon suits easily recognized by the infinity plunge pools that overlook the turquoise blue lagoon and face the sunset. A sandy path allows lovers and families to wander around the island, taking in the breathtaking views of the surf breaking ashore on the one hand, ...

New Caledonia Elopement at Le Meridien Noumea | Edward and Yukine | Cross cultural destination wedding | Pacific Islands Adventure Elopement Photographer
If there is one thing that is amazing about new technologies and social media, it’s how it has enabled people to connect from anywhere and everywhere in the world. Yukine found me and contacted me through Instagram from her home in Japan. It was late at night here in port Vila, i was tucked in my bed ready to switch the lights off when the notification came in. Yukine explained to me that her fiancé Edward and herself were planning their destination elopement in Noumea, the capital city of one of the South Pacific jewel islands: New Caledonia. It was their dream for them to get married by the turquoise blue waters of the new Caledonia lagoon. ...

Katie-Lou: “James and I met at work a year ago and it was love at first sight! We took a while to become friends, and once we got the courage up to admit to our feelings, we have been inseparable!!! We love driving with each other, going on road trips, being spontaneous, listening to music, talking, laughing. We are both passionate people and share our love for each other constantly. He is my dream come true! ” Inseparable. Passionate. And true. They are indeed all of it, and so much more. They are friendship set on fire. They look at each other like everything begins and ends with each other. They are soulful and wholehearted. I fel ...

N+I Macedonian Greek wedding at the Warwick le Lagon in Port Vila
I LOVE a wedding with a cultural twist, especially when it involves cultures and traditions that are new to me. I love the feeling of belonging to a community, the sheer joy in the act of sharing a common heritage, the pride. It’s beautiful. Ionie and Nik’s wedding at the Warwick le Lagon, in Port Vila, was a perfect example of such a wedding. Ionie has Greek origins while Nik’s family comes from Macedonia. Both live in Australia, and because all three locations were too close to their hearts to choose between them where to have their wedding, they decided to fly to Vanuatu with about fifty of their closest family and friends and tie the k ...

A+H Ratua, a private island for a magical beach wedding
6.30 am. Here I am at the airport again, kissing hubby good bye, hugging baby Moira as tight as I dare and telling her mummy will be back in the blink of an eye. This time, I’m off to Ratua. If the name Ratua doesn’t mean anything to you, I suggest you head to Google when you’re looking for a dream destination, or the place for an absolutely perfect beach wedding, as Ratua truly is something special. Off the coast of Santo, the largest island in Vanuatu with direct flights from Australia, Ratua island resort is a private island reached by a 30 minutes boat ride in crystal clear, turquoise waters that will mesmerize you and take your breath ...

H + L Love off the coast of Africa
Fire. This is the word that comes to my mind first when I go back to this afternoon walk on a little island off the African coast with Hector and Laura. The wind that day was unforgiving, the sand whipping, the ocean angry. Yet, these two had not a care in the world for mother nature's moodiness. Quite the opposite, in fact. Their passion and free spirits actually matched the wildness of this awe inspiring landscape perfectly. They raced with the wind, hand in hand, laughing like children. They kissed the taste of salt carried by the sea on each other's lips and it made them thirsty for more. They played and fooled around like mad people i ...

B+S: Beach babes in the golden Vanuatu sunset
Ben surfs barrels like he was born from the ocean. Sandrine dances on the enchanting rhythms of Tahiti with the grace of the sun. They have known each other since they were 16. That was 25 years ago. Hard to believe! They just look so young at heart and smitten, it seems like they have just met and swept each other off their feet. Honestly, if I have ever seen a man look at a woman like she is his everything, it's Ben looking at Sandrine. And if I have ever seen a woman smile at her man like he is the only star in her entire sky, it's how Sandrine looks at Ben. And call me corny, call me hopeless, but boy, that kind of love... sigh. I want to ...
