M+L Photographe de mariage à Noumea

featured Wedding

Here we go again. Different wedding, different plane. This time we are off to Noumea, New Caledonia. Maxime and Lucille had been planning their special day for months when they contacted me and invited me to join them and capture their story. From that first chat we had over Messenger, I simply knew this was a wedding I absolutely wanted to photograph. I knew it would be perfect. Today, some two weeks later, I can actually say that it truly was, indeed, perfect. And unforgettable. It was perfect because Maxime and Lucille are incredibly beautiful people, inside and out. It was perfect because everything, from the planning to the setting, from the ceremony to the festivities was about love, family, and friendship. All their friends and family  participated in decorating the venue, their ceremony was lead by Maxime’s brother and Lucille’s best friend. Their mums both spoke. Lucille’s dad spoke. Their were tears, there was true emotion, and their was love, so, so much love! It was perfect because… because… because. It was perfect in so many ways. And I could describe them all. Sometimes though, the beauty of a story lies beyond words. Sometimes it nestles quietly in the intensity of a look, the warmth of a smile. Sometimes the magic happens in the split between seconds. Then, as they say, images become worth a thousand words. See for yourself…

A+H Ratua, a private island for a magical beach wedding
6.30 am. Here I am at the airport again, kissing hubby good bye, hugging baby Moira as tight as I dare and telling her mummy will be back in the blink of an eye. This time, I’m off to Ratua. If the name Ratua doesn’t mean anything to you, I suggest you head to Google when you’re looking for a dream destination, or the place for an absolutely perfect beach wedding, as Ratua truly is something special. Off the coast of Santo, the largest island in Vanuatu with direct flights from Australia, Ratua island resort is a private island reached by a 30 minutes boat ride in crystal clear, turquoise waters that will mesmerize you and take your breath ...

M+E: Boho Romance in the Canary Island
Some might call it remote. Some might call it hostile. Most will call it mesmerizing. La Graciosa. The name itself feels like a tale of wind and sand, of men and sea, of sun and dunes. To get there you will have to fly to the Canary island of Lanzarote, drive up north, take a ferry and leave it all behind for days, for weeks, for months, for years. You decide. When you reach, the little harbour village is all white and blue against the vast landscape and sleeping volcano. The moment you set foot on the wharf, it is like the island casts a spell on you and you are under its charm. This is where Oli and I met Eduardo and Miriam. And they, to ...

N+I Macedonian Greek wedding at the Warwick le Lagon in Port Vila
I LOVE a wedding with a cultural twist, especially when it involves cultures and traditions that are new to me. I love the feeling of belonging to a community, the sheer joy in the act of sharing a common heritage, the pride. It’s beautiful. Ionie and Nik’s wedding at the Warwick le Lagon, in Port Vila, was a perfect example of such a wedding. Ionie has Greek origins while Nik’s family comes from Macedonia. Both live in Australia, and because all three locations were too close to their hearts to choose between them where to have their wedding, they decided to fly to Vanuatu with about fifty of their closest family and friends and tie the k ...
